The busy summer season produced several more taste awards for Mr Filbert’s unique nut snack recipes and drizzles, and the team at Filberts Fine Foods are celebrating again after being awarded the title of New Business of the Year at the Open 4 Business Awards, held in Weymouth this week.
The event, in its eleventh year, celebrates the achievements of every aspect of business in the Dorset area. This year, guest speaker Gareth Unwin – co producer of the Oscar winning film The Kings Speech – highlighted the importance of local businesses to the economy and all that can be achieved through ambition. The award ceremony proved just that.
Mark Taylor, MD of Filbert’s Fine Foods, said “We are grateful to Open 4 Business for recognising the hard work of the team, the potential of the Mr Filbert’s brand and all that we have achieved in such a short space of time.”
Aimee Rose, Operations Director, also thanked Barry White and his team at Humphries Kirk Solicitors for sponsoring the award and hosting Filbert’s at the event. “It has been an amazing 15 months for us all at Filbert’s Fine Foods, and our plans for 2012 are even better!”
Filbert’s Fine Foods have also been selected as a finalist at the Quality Food Awards to be held in London next month.
